Digi Connect VPN GSM, a wireless WAN appliance, provides secure high-performance Ethernet-to-wireless communications via cellular GSM GPRS/EDGE networks for primary and backup connectivity to remote locations. Using Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) standards, the Digi Connect VPN creates a secure virtual private network via the cellular network, providing virtually any remote site or device seamless access to the corporate IP network. It is ideal for use where wired networks (e.g., lease line/frame relay, CSU/DSU, fractional T1) are not feasible or where alternative network connections are required.

 

Digi Connect VPN GSM satisfies applications that require the transmission of sensitive, private or mission-critical information, such as data from ATMs and credit card equipment. Advanced IPsec encryption and authentication algorithms are trusted, even by IT administrators.

Another benefit of Digi Connect VPN GSM is the ability to create a static IP connection to the remote site, no matter what type of IP is assigned to the device on the wireless network. This allows applications where a host needs to communicate to a remote device to work regardless of wireless IP address.

Digi Connect VPN GSM seamlessly integrates with the Digi Connectware® Manager, an enteprise remote device managment  platform, which provides easy setup, configuration and maintenance of large installations. Users can upgrade firmware or change settings of thousands of devices with only a few clicks. Digi Connectware Manager also makes troubleshooting simple by reporting problems like issues with signal strength and reconnects

DigiConnect WAN GSM är en Ethernet till mobilrouter som ger en säkert trådlös uppkoppling över det mobilanätet. Kan användas för den primera trådlösa uppkopplingen till avlägsen utrustning eller som backup för den befintliga trådbundna uppkopplingen.
